Hey there, fellow pancake lovers! Finding delicious breakfast options that don’t include animal products can be challenging as a vegan.
That’s why I’m excited to share my go-to recipe for vegan pancakes that are fluffy moist, and, don’t require any dairy products or eggs, and are perfect for any time of day.

First off, let me tell you that these pancakes don’t require any dairy or eggs. You can easily swap out regular butter for vegan butter or olive oil. To get the same level of adhesion as eggs, you can try using flax seed powder or chia seed eggs. These options are just as delicious and have the bonus of being rich in calcium.

Now, let’s talk about the flour. If you’re gluten intolerant, you can use maize flour as a substitute for white flour in any recipe to make them gluten-free. Corn flour that does not include gluten is high in dietary fiber, as well as the B vitamins thiamine, niacin, and potassium, as well as the minerals magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium.

Have you ever heard of teff flour? This grain is Ethiopia’s primary source of sustenance and is known for its high protein, fiber, and calcium content. Plus, it imparts a delicious nutty flavor to baked goods such as cookies, quick bread, pancakes, and waffles. When used in pancakes, it imparts a nutty taste that’ll take your breakfast game to the next level.
There is an option between a dark and a light version of this flour. When used in an all-purpose flour mix, teff flour, and Montana flour produce bread that is high in fiber and has a flavor comparable to whole wheat. Put this flour in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.
When it comes to toppings, the possibilities are endless. I love using vegan chocolate, jam, coconut powder, and shredded coconut. And if you’re looking to cut back on sugar, add grape juice or dates to the mix instead.

Cooking tips and tricks

  1. Before cooking, preheat your pan and set the flame to medium-low for even cooking.
  2. Fermenting the dough causes the dough to rise, which causes the dough to rise. Cakes, cookies, muffins, and bread all need this. Light and airy baked goods require leavening chemicals such as baking powder. The shelf life of yeast agents is short. Therefore, use only freshly opened packages.
  3. Baking involves throwing ingredients into a basin and stirring them up. Baking products will rise more evenly and taste airier if the flour is sifted. Using baking cups, you may level them with a butter knife to accurately measure the sifted flour. Incorporating excessive amounts of flour might lead to thick, dry-baked items. To ensure all the dry ingredients are well distributed, combine them in a big bowl and stir them well. Blend the liquids in a different bowl.
  4. If you’re looking for a healthier alternative to sugar, try adding grape juice or dates to your batter.

Trust me, these vegan pancakes are delicious and the perfect way to start your day, no matter what time. So grab your ingredients, your favorite toppings, and let’s get flipping!– your taste buds will thank you!

Mixing the ingredients

Create a well in the middle of a large basin after sifting the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt together. Pour into the flour mixture after combining the water and oil in a small bowl. The mixture will be lumpy after a brief period of blending.

Heating the pan

Over medium-high heat, preheat a pan that has been lightly greased.

Frying the pancakes

Onto the pan, drop the batter in a generous spoonful. Prepare until bubbles appear and the edges are dry. After flipping, heat for 1–2 minutes or until the bottoms are browned. Continue with the remaining batter.

Decorate pancake with chocolate and jam

At the end of the process, you can decorate the pancake with your favorite sweets.
