“Hazelnut milk” is lactose-free and everyone can use this recipe for making one cup of desired milk. If you are a coffee addict, hazelnut  milk helps you to have a special cup of coffee and enjoy that.

Hazelnut milk is high in vitamin B and vitamin E. Also this vegan milk is rich in Calcium and phosphorus.

Tips:

1- We can use hazelnut milk in smoothies, cakes and cookies, hot chocolate, latte, tea and coffee.

2- If you have raw hazelnuts: soak the hazelnuts in cold water for at least 6 hours or overnight.

3- If you want to make hazelnut milk with roasted hazelnuts: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the hazelnuts on the oven tray and roast for about 10 minutes. Let it soak for 20 minutes until the skin is easily removed. Then transfer the hazelnuts in a bowl and soak for at least 6 hours.

4- If you want to prepare hazelnut milk and chocolate, stir 1 and ½ cups of hazelnut milk with 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder, one tablespoon of maple syrup and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract for 3-5 minutes. Enjoy the hazelnut chocolate milk that you made at home

5- Hazelnut milk can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days – just remember to stir it before use.

Soak hazelnuts in water

Place Hazelnuts in a medium jam then cover them with 2 inches of cold fresh water. After that, cover the jam with a kitchen towel and put that on the refrigerator. Soak nuts time is between 5-6 hours and after that hazelnut is softened. This will make the hazelnuts soft, and easier to digest.

Rinse soaking hazelnut water

In this step, you should drain off the soaking hazelnut water and rinse the nuts in a fine-mesh strainer.

Blend Rinsed hazelnuts with water

Add Rinsed hazelnuts with 2 cups of water and Vanilla in a blender and Blend them at high speed.

Strain the hazelnut milk

Add the cheesecloth-lined or milk bag to the medium bowl. Then use the fine-mesh to Strain the hazelnut milk. After that, you have light brown color nut milk.
